Coalition and Community Building

ONGOING EFFORT

OPPORTUNITIES

Image shows a diverse audience in a convention facility.
  • Tech and finance events underrepresent women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other historically peripheral communities both in presenters and attendees.

  • Many industries lack a convening Queer organization to address talent diversity in subject matter expertise and workforce development.

  • Businesses are interested in engaging with diversity and inclusion but need guidance, insight, and actionable proposals.

ENGAGEMENT

WebQ is scaling our community and coalition building activities.

WebQ’s programs are made possible by our network of individuals and coalition partners that share our mission / vision / values.

These relationships are developed and nurtured at industry meetings and events.

The community building work of WebQ is amplified by media appearances, speaking engagements and targeted campaigns.

MOVEMENT!

WebQ is a movement – this project will expand the impact of our work and connect us with donors.

WebQ’s current infrastructure merges Las Vegas’ strength in high-volume diverse customer engagement with Washington’s policy influence.

In 2022-2023 WebQ has advocated to U.S.-based conferences for digital assets, public policy, emerging tech, broadcast media, and social impact.

In 2024, WebQ intends to expand its event engagement to a global stage.

Next Steps!

Activate WebQ advocacy online to expand our audience and maintain the momentum of current in-person activities.

Goals

1) Ensure that WebQ community participation in the analog world is recorded digitally and amplified through media and online channels.

2) Host WebQ Member Lounges at conferences.

3) Hold independent WebQ hosted events.

4) Have staff poised to respond to identified needs and take up opportunities that arise from being present.

Networks and coalition partners form the “Web” of WebQ.

Scaling up and taking next steps requires onboarding staff in roles such as:

  • Coalition Manager

  • Social Media Manager

  • Community Manager

  • Project Manager

  • PR / Publicity firm

Funding is required to scale this initiative. Please contribute the resources we need to accelerate our movement.
